Jovial Mushrooms was created from a curiosity around mushrooms and a dream of establishing a sustainable food source that is packed with nutrients and also has the potential of changing lives through their use as functional mushrooms.
From Humble beginnings...
The Jovial Mushrooms story
I started experimenting with growing mushrooms in 2016 in my small apartment with a custom built mushroom box and makeshift equipment…there were many failures and some great successes too.I stuck to it selling some mushrooms here and there until I got a great opportunity to start a real mushroom business. I spent the first few years ironing out some issues like dealing with the seasons and finding the most efficient and effective methods of growing mushrooms around my conditions. I started selling my mushrooms at the Vegan Market and testing Unbelievable Mushroom biltong which was a great success. I am still developing new products and will add them to our range on the Jovial Mushrooms store as they become available. I hope that Jovial Mushrooms can bring joy and a smile to everyone that chooses us as their source of delicious and nutritious gourmet mushrooms and mushroom products!
